GUNTUR: Sai Bhaskar Hospital in Guntur has embarked on a massive programme to provide primary check-up to people of all ages with regard to their heart condition and general health. The programme was formally launched on Sunday at the hospital in Arundelpet for 150 members of Government Pensioners' Association. Cardiologist R. Muralibabu Rao, retired doctor from GGH would conduct the check up and the hospital paramedics would conduct all related tests like ECG, treadmill test, blood profile, etc, for a nominal charge.
Register names
The scheme would be in force for a month till October 10 to celebrate World Heart Day on September 24. People could register their names in advance or come to the hospital empty stomach to get all tests done the hospital director B. Narendra Reddy, an orthopaedician, told reporters. All the pensioners would be provided 50 per cent concession in services of the hospital for any treatment, he announced. Sridhar Babu conducted a general ophthalmic check-up for the pensioners on Sunday.
