CELEBRATION TIME: Kerala women making flower decoration on the occasion of Onam at Kothapatnam beach near Ongole on Sunday.
ONGOLE: Keralites, living in the town, celebrated Onam festival with religious fervour at Kothapatnam beach near here on Sunday. They have been celebrating the festival for the last three years under the auspices of Onam Festival Committee headed by Ramya Balakrishna and Montissori Prakash. Onam marks the return of Bali Chakravarthi to the earth to bless his subjects once in a year. Keralites celebrate the festival to invite their beloved king. About 250 Keralite families thronged the beach.
