Kolu dolls exhibition at Poompuhar from today

Chennai:
The Tamil Nadu Handicrafts Development Corporation will open a kolu dolls exhibition on Monday.
Idols made from clay, papier mache and marble dust are on offer.
Traditional sets
Apart from traditional sets of Vinayakar, Ramar, Ashtalakshmi and Dasavadaram, gopika dance sets and Mysore dussehra sets are also available. Some kolu dolls have also been made in the Kondapalli and Calcutta styles.
Electricity and Rural Industries Minister Arcot N. Veerasamy will inaugurate the exhibition.
Discount offered
A ten percent discount is offered on all the kolu dolls. Services charges will not be levied for credit card payments. The sale is on till September 30 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on all days including Sundays at the Poompuhar showroom on Anna Salai.
