HYDERABAD: City-based Mishra Dhatu Nigam Limited (Midhani) is now ready to offer single-point solutions to making, shaping and treating special metals and alloys to meet end-product requirements of customers, instead of supplying advanced materials in standard forged and other mill forms.
Spurring growth
This was stated by Midhani Chairman and Managing Director M. Narayana Rao during a customer meet of the nigam organised at the defence PSU here recently. Earlier, chief guest of the function S.A. Bharadwaj, Director (Technical) of the Nuclear Power Corporation of India, said that the country would require large quantities of hi-tech special metals and alloys to enable the Government achieve ambitious goals for a quantum jump in power generation through conventional, non-conventional and nuclear sources to spur growth in the manufacturing sector. Midhani Director (Finance) B.V. Krishnamurthy gave a detailed account of the Rs.170-crore modernisation and upgradation programme undertaking by the PSU with substantial financial support of major customers. Representatives of the Department of Space, DRDO, Department of Atomic Energy, HAL, BHEL and other customer firms attended the meet.
