HYDERABAD: The Entrepreneur Cell of IIT Bombay is organising Eureka-2006 - the international business plan competition. The contest is open to aspiring entrepreneurs and working professionals. Contestants have to come up with ideas combining technology, vision and business acumen. "The idea is to equip youth with a zeal for innovation and an entrepreneurial attitude," says Satyanarayana Ganta, media coordinator. Apart from the total prize money of Rs. 4.5 lakhs it will provide finalists with an opportunity to present their business plan to venture capitalists and incubators to secure funding and incubation. Short listed participants will also be able to interact with entrepreneurs to share their experiences. Eureka in its earlier editions was instrumental in launching 15 successful start-ups of the likes of multi-millionaire Myzus and e-Infitus. The last date for the submission of executive summary is October 1. Details can be had on www.eureka.iitbecell.org.
