HYDERABAD: A 30-year-old man was found murdered near railway tracks at Tukaramgate on Sunday morning. The incident came to light when slum dwellers who went to attend nature's call noticed the body and alerted the police. The police are suspecting that assailants could have killed the man identified as G. Anand of Vinayak Nagar in Neredmet by smashing his head with a boulder. According to the police, previous enmity might be one of the reasons behind the killing. Anand's wife Rajitha and two children have been residing in Warangal district for the last one year. Anand was working as a painter. The police registered a murder case under Section 302 of IPC and handed over Anand's body to the relatives after conducting an autopsy at the Gandhi hospital mortuary. Meanwhile, residents alleged that the police did not initiate any precautionary measures to prevent people from straying near the isolated place adjacent to the tracks.
Haven for tipplers?
The open place covered with bushes has turned out to be a haven for liquor consumers after sunset. An unidentified man aged in mid-30s was found dead at the same place in 2005, a resident recalled.
