KOCHI: A bus passenger, who tried to prevent pickpocketing, was stabbed thrice by a pickpocket on board a private bus in Kochi on Sunday evening.
Raised an alarm
The Central Police said Sajis of Palluruthy and his accomplice tried to steal the gold bangles worn by a kid in a crowded bus. On seeing this, Rajan of Perambra, Kozhikode, a car driver with a travel agency in the city, raised an alarm. The criminals stabbed Rajan. Sajis was handed over to the police by fellow passengers, but his accomplice escaped. Rajan has been admitted to Ernakulam General Hospital. The stolen bangles are yet to be recovered.
