Gang assaults man

BANGALORE: A five-member group assaulted Gopala (45), a resident of Sunkadakatte, near Rajajinagar ESI hospital, on Sunday. According to the police, Gopala had gone to visit his lawyer in connection with a land dispute case. The assailants assaulted him when he was on his way back home. He is in a private hospital.

Suicide

Sujatha (36), a housewife, committed suicide by hanging herself to death from the roof of her house on Indiranagar 100 ft Road on Saturday. Sujatha's mother, Munivenkatamma, has filed a complaint alleging that Sujatha's husband, Hemareddy, murdered her. A search is on for Hemareddy.

Dies in accident

Murali (15) of Srirampuram was killed when a BMTC bus hit the vehicle in which he was riding pillion on KG Road on Sunday. Murali died on the spot. The rider, Narayan, who was injured, is in a hospital, the police said.
