Route numbers

Route numbers were once displayed on city buses operating from East Fort. This system has been stopped. Route numbers were very helpful for non-Malayalis who found it difficult to read Malayalam. Most cities in India follow this system. Once you know the route numbers of the buses, you can easily board them even if you cannot read place names. The authorities must reintroduce this system.

Bad road

The road that connects M.G. Road at Puthanchantha and Manjalikkulam road at Thampanoor, from Ayurveda College Junction to Velayudhan Thampy Stadium, is in a very bad condition. The road is ridden with potholes. The gutter on this road is also damaged and wastewater flows on to it.

Passengers bound for East Fort, Thamapnoor, etc. from Karamana have to brave the sun and the rain alike for want of a proper waiting shelter. It will be of a great help if one is provided at Karamana. I hope the Corporation authorities will look into the matter and do the needful quickly.
