Asks for report on ragging

VISAKHAPATNAM: Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy has directed Srikakulam district Collector to send a report on the ragging incident in Rajam which reportedly led to the victim's mother committing suicide. He announced this on Monday when reporters sought Government measures to curb ragging. "Ragging is inhuman," he said, and added that action would be taken. The Collector was inquiring into the incident and the Government would provide necessary assistance to the victim, he said.
