KOCHI: Adarsh Charitable Trust, in association with the Indian Academy of Paediatrics Childhood Disability Group, will organise screening of newborns for hearing disability. The hearing disability will also affect the speech capabilities of children, said Abraham K. Paul, the coordinator of the Newborn hearing Screening Programme. Currently, the facility has been made available in Najath Hospital, Aluva, Karothukuzhi hospital, Aluva, Community health centre, Puthen Cruz, Primary health Centre, Chottanikara, and Adarsh special school, Kureekad.
