SALEM: The Tamil Nadu Teachers Recruitment Board will conduct a written test on September 17 for candidates who have applied for the postgraduate teacher vacancies in the following centres: Tamil - Sri Sarada Balamandir Boys Higher Secondary School; English and Physics - St. Mary's Girls HSS; Botany and Commerce - Sri Sarada Vidhyalaya Girls HSS; Zoology and Physical Education - Holy Angels Matriculation HSS; Chemistry, Geography, Economics and Political Science - St. John's MHSS and Mathematics and History - Little Flower HSS. According to a release from Chief Education Officer S. Sethurama Varma, a total of 2,003 candidates would be appearing for the written test in the district. The candidates should be present 30 minutes before the test. They would not be allowed to appear for the test 30 minutes after the start of the test. The candidates should remain in the hall till the end. The candidates should use only blue or black ballpoint pens. Scribes would be appointed for the candidates who were blind. Candidates would not be allowed to carry cell phones and calculators. Flying squads were formed to prevent malpractices, the release added.
