Aurobindo Pharma bags USFDA approval

HYDERABAD: The city-based bulk drugs major, Aurobindo Pharma, on Tuesday announced that it had bagged the U.S. Food and Drug Administration's approval for its product Citalopram oral solution 10mg/5mg. It already has FDA approval for Citalopram tablets of 10, 20 and 40 mg. A press release said Citalopram was a generic equivalent of Forest Laboratories' Celexa and belonged to a class of medication called selective serotonin re-uptake inhibitors (SSRIs).
