NEW DELHI:
Unison Hotels has announced its foray into South India through a five-start hotel-cum-service apartments project. Two acres have been acquired in Hyderabad and the project, being implemented at a cost of Rs. 150 crore, should be ready by the middle of 2008.
Reiterating that the company would invest Rs. 2,000 crore in the next five years to set up five-star accommodations across the country, Unison Hotels Managing Director Umesh Saraf told media persons that the investment would be made in two phases. The Hyderabad project was part of the Rs. 1,000-crore investment plan finalised for the first phase. The company would see hotels coming up in Bangalore, Chennai and Mumbai apart from Hyderabad, where the company would build a 225-room five star accommodation and a separate service apartment block , he said.
The Unison group was identifying land in Bangalore, Chennai and Mumbai, he said, adding that the first phase would be completed within next two to three years.
