Dalit victim to meet Sonia

Special Correspondent

NEW DELHI: Activists of the Indian Justice Party will hold a demonstration here on Wednesday to protest against inaction by the local administration and the National Commission for Women in a case of alleged molestation of a minor Dalit girl in Rohtak (Haryana). The activists also intend to meet Congress president Sonia Gandhi on the issue.

A delegation had also approached the National Commission for Women on Monday but were not satisfied with the outcome of their meeting with the chairperson.

The victim and her relatives will present a memorandum to Ms. Gandhi and appeal for justice seeking action against the erring police officers who tampered with the FIR and the doctors who did not give the correct medical report.
