Fun and frolic all the way

Bindu Shajan

NEW DELHI: For Delhiites complaining about lack of anything interesting to do this weekend, Rock Street Journal (RSJ) brings to the city an entire day of fun, music and pure entertainment.

Being organised at Garden Restaurant on Lodhi Road this Friday, RSJ has on the menu an exhibition of pottery, display of photographs by Raoul Amaar Abbas, demonstration by a fire-eater, tarot card reading, fusion band and free dance expression. "Those coming for the one-day extravagance can enjoy fusion band by Advaita's musical sound-scape created by the interplay of Western instruments including guitars, drums and keyboards with the traditional Indian flavour of the sarangi, tabla and Hindustani classical vocals. To add to this is their experimentation with electronic music. The band has been focusing on writing their own material and defining their sound since the time they were formed and currently have an interesting blend of western and Indian mix,'' says Anuj Rai of RSJ.
