`Nirvikalpa-06' fest from September 15 in Belgaum

Many contests planned for management students


  • Eminent personalities from the corporate world to deliver lectures
  • 15 colleges from several States invited to the event

    Belgaum: A three-day national-level management fest themed as "Nirvikalpa-06" will be organised at Millennium Gardens in the city from September 15 to 17.

    The event is being organised by city-based Bharatesh Education Trust's Bharatesh College of Business Administration.

    According to college director Sunil B. Desai here on Tuesday, the event marks a decadal celebration of the host college.

    Debates, quiz

    There would be competitions, discussions, quiz competitions in different topics and business games and every attempt is being made to make them meaningful and interesting for the participants. Eminent corporate personalities like Biplove Belwal from Broad Vision, P. Sudarshan from Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore, Anurag Gurani from Accenture Technology, Ravesh from Gokak Mills and other business experts would form the jury to judge the competitions.

    Inter-college programme

    He said so far 15 colleges from Karnataka, Maharashtra, Goa and northern States had been invited to participate in the event, including M.E.S. College, Goa, Symbiosis, Pune, SDM College of Management, Mangalore, and MATS, Raipur.

    Regional Commissioner for North Karnataka Amita Prasad would inaugurate the management fest.

    Deputy Commissioner Shalini Rajneesh would inaugurate the quiz and cultural programmes on September 16.

    Superintendent of Police Hemant Nimbalkar would deliver the valedictory address on September 17.

    P. Sudirshan of Indian Institute of Technology and Indian Institute of Management-Ahmedabad, who is the president of Alumni Association of I.I.M., Bangalore, would be present.
