A dangerous crater in front of the Palayamkottai Ward Office of Tirunelveli Corporation recently consumed the life of two motorists - a groom and his brother-in-law - in an accident. Almost all dailies and local television channels carried a news item on this problem. However, no effort has been taken to set right the menace though this stretch is frequently being used by theCollector, the Mayor, the Commissioner of Police, Deputy Commissioners of Police and the Corporation Commissioner. The debris put in this hole by nearby shopkeepers is not enough to prevent the accidents.
