Naidu regrets row over his security

Special Correspondent

HYDERABAD: Telugu Desam president N. Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday said it was unfortunate that security for him had been made controversial.

At a press conference, he said it was the Government's responsibility or provide security and respond to the doubts raised in various quarters. As Leader of the Opposition, he was entitled to certain amount of security and facilities and it was for the Government of the day to take care of them. "I would not have responded to questions relating to my security but I am forced to do so owing to the Government's attitude. Greyhounds personnel were replaced with local policemen. Yet the Chief Minister wants everyone to believe that he was not aware of it ," he asked.
