Trader robbed

Two miscreants robbed a trader of Rs. 6,000 after attacking him with a ceramic pipe during daytime on Tuesday at Alwal. The victim, Ch. Ashok, 35, of Krishna district, came to the city to start a roadside eatery. He went to a toddy depot at Alwal in the afternoon when two persons lured him to a secluded place in Yadammanagar and robbed him.

Housewife ends life

A housewife N. Shailaja, 26, allegedly committed suicide by consuming pesticide at Ameerpet on Tuesday. Her parents alleged that she resorted to the extreme step due to harassment for additional dowry by her husband Ashwin Kumar who works as coach in a gymnasium of a star hotel in Delhi. The couple got married two years ago and have a son.

Found dead

A meat shop owner Mohd. Khaja, 23, was found murdered at Raidurg on Tuesday. The body was lying on the causeway leading to the tank, some one kilometre away from his house in Raidurg. The killers smashed his head using a boulder. The victim was a drunkard and was not seen since stepping out of his house on Monday evening, Raidurg Inspector R. Sudarshan said.
