Two killed in accidents
Staff Reporter
BANGALORE:
Two persons, including a four-year-old girl, were killed in separate road accidents in the city since Monday evening.
Police said Sri Lakshmi (4) was killed on the spot after a lorry that was moving in the reverse ran over her at a construction site at BTS Layout in Arakere, off Bannerghatta Road. The incident occurred around 5.30 p.m. on Monday.
Sri Lakshmi was the daughter of a construction labourer from Andhra Pradesh, who was employed at the work site, the police said. The MICO Layout traffic police have registered a case and arrested the lorry driver.
In the other incident, the driver of a call centre vehicle was killed when a lorry rammed his multi-utility vehicle near Yelahanka Circle while he was returning after dropping the call centre employees at their houses in the early hours of Tuesday.
