BANGALORE: Three persons robbed a woman, her husband and brother-in-law of valuables worth Rs. 35,000 at knifepoint in Vijayanagar Police Station limits on Monday night. Police said Preeti was riding a two-wheeler near 7th Cross, Prashanthanagar, around midnight. Thinking that she was alone, the miscreants, travelling by an autorickshaw, waylaid and threatened her. Meanwhile, her husband, Sarvajit Singh, and his brother who were riding another motorcycle came to the spot and confronted the miscreants. However, the miscreants succeeded in threatening the three and relieved them of a gold chain, mobile phone and cash, all worth Rs. 35,000. Police said the three were returning home after attending the funeral of Singh's mother.
Chain snatched
In another incident, two miscreants on a motorcycle relieved a woman of a gold chain worth Rs. 18,000 on Monday night in HAL Police Station limits. Police said Lakshmi Devi, an LIC agent, was walking along the Outer Ring Road towards her house at Ashwathanagar when the incident occurred.
Mobile phone stolen
Two motorcycle-borne miscreants relieved a college student of his mobile phone worth Rs. 2,000 in Jayanagar Police station limits on Monday night. Police said Rahul was walking near Jayanagar VIII Block when the incident occurred.
Relieved of chain
A woman who was on her morning walk was relieved of part of her mangalsutra when she resisted an attempt of chain snatching by two miscreants in Rajajinagar Police Station limits on Tuesday.
