Five direct paddy purchase centres opened

TIRUCHI: Five additional direct paddy purchase centres (DPCs) have been opened in the district, the Collector Ashish Vachhani has said.

The DPCs, functioning from Monday, have been opened at Lalgudi, Anbil, Nagar, Alangudi Mahajanam and Komakudi in Lalgudi union. These were in addition to the DPCs functioning at Musiri, Manikandam, Pettavaithalai, Thottiyam and Thuraiyur.

More DPCs would be opened if necessary, Mr.Vachhani said in a press release.
