Bangalore: Jewels of India, the annual jewellery exhibition, will be back for the eighth time. It will be held at Sri Kanteerava Indoor Stadium from September 30 to October 3. Well-known actor and Padmashri awardee Shobhana will lead the publicity campaign for the event. The eighth annual exhibition is expected to feature fine jewellery featuring gold, diamonds and gems from jewellers across the country in distinct styles and patterns. Sandeep Bekal, Convenor, Expoworld, says about the event: "The Indian woman is very trend conscious. Jewellery has become a relevant item for many. The increase in personal income and changing spending habits have boosted the jewellery trade."

This year, Jewels of India will feature over 100 jewellers and they will display styles typical of Rajasthan, Delhi, Bengal, Mumbai, Tamil Nadu and some will be from foreign designers.
