Trust to organise competitions with Gandhian themes

Chennai:
Gandhian Integrated Forum Trust will organise literary competitions for college students to commemorate the birth anniversary of the Mahatma.
Entries for the English essay competition on `Gandhian principles and globalisation' can be about two pages long.
Tamil poetry
Entries for the Tamil poetry competition to be written on `Ariviyalin Thagam' (thirst for science) should be about 25 lines long and written on a single page.
Participants must send their writing to P. Maruthi, Managing Trustee, 36, First Avenue, Ashok Nagar on or before September 20 with a self declaration attested by the Department Head or Principal. Details such as name, class, address and contact numbers must be included.
Essay competition
At the district level, an essay competition in Tamil will be organised for professional college students on September 24.
The trust will also conduct a Tamil oratorical competition on September 25 and a devotional song contest on September 26 for all college students.
