Kannur is champion

THALASSERY: Host Kannur emerged as champion in the North Zone inter-district U-22 cricket championship here on Wednesday. It finished with 12 points from five games, though the last of which — against Kozhikode — was washed out without a ball being bowled. Kozhikode (nine) and Kasargod (eight) finished second and third respectively.
