Coimbatore: The Commissioner, Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation, P. Muthuveeran, has announced the reservation of wards for the ensuing elections to the Corporation Council. The notification is issued in exercise of powers under relevant sections of law and Government orders and would come with immediate effect. Ward numbers 7,35,41 and 57 are reserved under General Category for candidates from scheduled castes and scheduled tribes, ward numbers 21 and 29 are reserved for women candidates from scheduled castes and scheduled tribes. Ward numbers 2, 4, 5, 9, 13, 17, 18, 20, 22, 26, 27, 38, 43, 54, 55, 58, 60, 62, 64, 65, 67 and 72 are reserved for women (general category).
Free workshop
