Protest against farm policies

KOZHIKODE: The former Minister and Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) treasurer P.K. Kunhalikutty said here on Wednesday that the Left Democratic Front Government (LDF) had put on hold the relief package for farmers envisaged by the United Democratic Front (UDF), and instead was confined to making statements on the farm crisis. Mr. Kunhalikutty was speaking after inaugurating a dharna organised by the Kozhikode district committee of the Swatantra Karshaka Sangham in front of the Collectorate to protest against the agriculture policies of the LDF.

Sangham district president K.A. Porora presided.

U.C. Raman, MLA, among others, addressed the protest meeting.
