State fails on all fronts: TDP

Correspondent

CHITTOOR: The Congress Government led by Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy has failed on all fronts, TDP MLA N. Janardhan Reddy said here on Wednesday.

Addressing a press conference, he said that the TDP has constituted eight committees to review the party's performance in the local body elections.

In Chittoor district, the party fared poorly due to lack of co-operation and co-ordination among the workers and leaders.

He also accused the police of being partisan and said that the party will wage a campaign against the wrong policies being pursued by the State Government.

Stating that the health sector was being neglected, he said that several people were affected with chikungunya as there was no adequate supply of medicines.

On the agriculture front, the power situation was deteriorating and crops spread over 45 lakh hectares have withered away and suicide rate among the farming community was on the rise.

He demanded that the Government pay ex gratia to the families of the deceased farmers.

MP Audikesavulu former Minister Gopala Krishna Reddy, Rajya Sabha member Durga Ramakrishna, MLA Amarnatha Reddy and others were present.
