Congress-TRS tussle pre-planned: Goud

Staff Reporter

It's only a ploy to divert people's attention, says Devender Goud

  • TDP will if by-elections are held in Karimnagar as Congress and TRShave done more damage to the region, says Devender Goud
  • The party to soon launch a State-wide programme against deteriorating power situation

Medak: Former Home Minister and senior Telugu Desam leader T. Devender Goud has said that the ongoing tussle between the Congress and the TRS is pre-planned to deceive people of Telangana region once again. Mr. Goud, who was here to participate in the Medak district TDP executive body meeting, spoke to reporters on Wednesday.

He pointed out that both UPA allies had realised that the TDP had regained its lost glory during the recent local bodies' elections and devised a new plot to divert people's attention from the real problems like acute shortage of electricity and drying up of crops.

He pointed out that neither K. Chandrasekhar Rao nor the Congress had anything new to add to what they had promised to the people during last Assembly elections. Mr. Goud said that Mr. Chandrasekhar Rao, who had promise people of statehood for Telangana and the Congress of free power, had failed in fulfilling their promises.

Mr. Devender Goud said that the people of Telangana were watching the developments very closely and would teach a lesson to both the parties if they jumped into the fray.
