Traffic diverted for processions on Friday

MANGALORE: The police have diverted traffic for the `Mosaru Kudike Utsava' to be held in various parts of the city on Friday.

Processions will be taken out from 6 p.m. from Sri Gopalakrishna Math at Kadri, Koti-Chennayya Circle at Nandigudda and Krishna Jnanodaya Bhajana Mandir at Kottara.

The procession starting from Sri Gopalakrishna Math will cross Kadri Kambla, City Hospital, Mallikatte and reach Kadri Temple via the Mahadwara.

At Attavar, the procession will commence from Kotti-Chennayya Circle and reach Attavar Katte via KMC Hospital and Chakrapani Temple.

The third procession will start at Bhajan Mandir and end at Ashoknagar School via the Infosys office and Urwa Stores.

Ban on vehicles

Superintendent of Police B. Dayananda, in a press release here on Wednesday, said heavy vehicles would be banned on these routes once the processions started.

However, smaller vehicles such as two-wheelers would be permitted depending on the size of the processions.

Parking of vehicles on routes concerned would be banned, he added.
