CHENNAI : Catholic Syrian Bank (CSB) and Lasersoft Infosystems, a Chennai-based banking software product company, on Thursday, signed an agreement to develop a centralised banking solution that would help the bank provide better service to its customers. N. R. Achan, Chairman, CSB, told presspersons here that the software would be introduced in 50 branches by March 2007, before being installed in the remaining branches and extension counters. B. Suresh Kamath, Managing Director, Lasersoft, said the Java-based technology would be customised to suit CSB's requirements, and that more services could be added when necessary.
