KURNOOL: V.K. Seth, Commanding Officer, NCC, has said the greatest challenge the country is facing is from terrorism. Administering the oath of national integration and communal harmony to NCC cadets at the annual combined training camp here on Thursday, he said forces, which were envious of country's progress, were working hard to destabilise the nation through communal strife.
Balanced view
He said the recent blasts in Mumbai and Malegaon were the handiwork of these forces. He wanted the cadets to develop a balanced view of life to save the future generation from animosity and mutual distrust.
Training to be given
He said the cadets would be given training in firing, map reading and drill. A trek to Jagannatha hills and a visit to an old-age home would be organised towards the end of the camp. A total of 550 cadets from three districts were attending the camp. Camp adjutants S. Abdul Basheer and Chinnappa were present.
