Sanal sizzles

ALUVA: Sanal Kumar scored four goals including three in a 24-minute second-half spell, as Thrissur blanked Alappuzha 9-0 and entered the quarterfinals of the second State under-13 inter-district football championship at the Municipal Stadium here on Thursday.

In the other pre-quarterfinal matches, Idukki thrashed Kollam 8-0, Kozhikode edged out Pathanamthitta 4-3, while Wynad pipped Kannur 9-8 in sudden death. At the end of full time in the 70-minute affair, Wynad and Kannur were level 3-3.
