LUCKNOW: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav on Thursday said that if his Samajwadi Party is returned to power in next year's elections then instead of two saris, five saris each would be given to poor women. The Chief Minister further said that the unemployment allowance would be increased to Rs.1,000 and his government would create job opportunities for 10 lakh unemployed boys and girls. These announcements were made by Mr. Yadav at a function where he felicitated 142 undergraduate students and distributed Kanya Vidya Dhan cheques worth Rs.3.20 crores to 1,600 girls.
