Girl commits suicide

NEW DELHI: Apparently depressed over her repeated failure to clear the Class X Board examinations, an 18-year-old student allegedly jumped to her death from the Central Board of Secondary Education headquarters building at Preet Vihar in East Delhi on Thursday. According to the police, the girl reached the CBSE building around 12-30 p.m. and went directly to the ninth floor. She then entered the toilet room, bolted the door from inside, and leapt off the building. She was rushed to hospital where she was declared dead.

The girl, Khushboo, was a resident of Mayapuri.
