KURNOOL: Nagireddy Bhulakshmi, who was held after a chase by the police near Allagadda in Kurnool district on Wednesday, was produced in court on Thursday. According to reports, Bhulakshmi and two other men of CPI(Maoist) were coming on a motorbike when Officer On Special Duty Rajasekhar Babu and his men tried to stop them. As the motorcycle riders refused to relent, the police chased and stopped them. Two men escaped while Bhulakshmi was taken into custody. Police fired a few rounds on the fleeing naxals. One of the escaped naxals was identified as Raghu of Nalgonda district. Bhulakshmiwas involved in over 20 cases and was posted to Nallamala recently. Sambasiva Rao, IG, Rayalaseema Zone, and B. Malla Reddy, SP, interrogated her. They appealed to underground cadres to give up and join the mainstream.
