Club funds latest blood testing equipment

CHENNAI
: The Rotary Central TTK VHS Blood Bank in Taramani has installed state-of-the-art equipment such as cell separator for component separation and computerised automatic blood testing equipment, at the VHS hospital on Taramani Road.
The Rotary Foundation made the funding for the project over a period of five years, said chairman of the project, P.T. Prabhakar.
Rotary Foundation chairman, Louis Vicente Giay, who visited the blood bank on Wednesday was taken around the upgraded blood bank. The visiting dignitary spent time with patients, including those getting treatment in facilities, which the Rotary has funded over the years.
Past district governor, P.T. Prabhakar and Vinod Sarogi, president of Rotary Club of Madras Central accompanied Mr. Giay.
