MCH appeals to citizens for information

Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD: The MCH, which has initiated a survey for mapping of properties and utilities to develop an integrated GIS system, has urged citizens to provide correct information to survey personnel carrying identity cards. Commissioner Sanjay Jaju has warned that lack of correct information could lead to difficulties in providing emergency services as their house will be left out of the final integrated system.

The work is being done by `expert' agencies in all circles. Surveyors will visit all premises to map buildings. They will also collect information from every occupant such as size of family, electric SC No., etc. The Commissioner said the information would be used as reference data for all Government departments when citizens apply for passports, ration cards, voter identity cards, etc.
