Two held on charge of cheating people

More than 12,140 persons duped in MLM scheme

HYDERABAD:
The Crime Investigation Department (CID) officials on Thursday brought to the city the two businessmen whom they arrested at Chandigarh in connection with a cheating case registered three years ago.
The arrested persons, Jasdeep Singh Bains and Jaspal Singh Sohl, chief managing director and director of `Dream Merchants 4U Company respectively, were accused of cheating more than 12,140 persons with a Multi-Level-Market (MLM) scheme, the police said. Four more persons involved in the case are still at large.
Bains and Sohl, along with four of their associates, floated a company called Online Job Work.com Limited based at Chandigarh and named its website as Dream Merchants 4U Company.
