Pacifists in search of talent

THE VENTURE by young classical musicians to spot and encourage other young musicians, Carnatica, is well represented here with its music school and voice-grooming sessions.

K.N. Shashikiran, the vocalist who is behind it, has set another record. He and fellow musician P. Ganesh were part of a 24-hour musical programme for the cause of world peace, held simultaneously in India and the United States.

Carnatica is busy with a music album of young voices from all over, to be compiled in time for World Peace Day on September 21. Young musicians can contact carnatica@yahoo.co.in or call 9880732309 in Bangalore.
