New twist to arms seizure case

Staff Reporter

NELLORE: The weapon seizure case has taken a new turn. Srinivas Reddy alias Raghu, who allegedly manufactured rocket components at Ambattur from 2003 to May this year, might not be the same person who reportedly stayed at Nellore prior to 2002 for similar kind of activities.

The police initially suspected that Raghu alias Tech Madhu might be the same person who had set up a workshop, Fine Pipe Works, at Autonagar of Nellore. But the investigation revealed that Satyanarayana alias Satyam, around 30 to 35-years-old, was in fact ran the workshop at shop number 168 in phase- II, but not Raghu.

It was Raghu who was frequently visiting the Fine Pipe Works as a relative of Satyam, according to a shop owner in the Autonagar. The local police are, however, tightlipped on the whole gamut of events. A police party from Chennai has come to Nellore to investigate the case.
