Coastal Clean-Up Day observed

Kozhikode: Coast Guard personnel attached to the Beypore Station along with National Cadet Corps, social workers of various organisations cleaned up the Kozhikode beach on Friday.

The event was organised to observe the International Coastal Clean Up Day.

Commandant Jasbir Singh, Commanding Officer, Coastal Guard Station, Beypore inaugurated the function in the morning. The cleaning of the beach began at 9 a.m. and concluded at noon. The aim of the day was to make the people aware of the degrading coastal environment.
