Bangalore City in command

BANGALORE: Bangalore City XI was in a strong position against Secretary's XI at the end of the first day in the KSCA under-19 cricket championship here on Saturday. After A.V. Raghavendra Rao skittled out Secretary's XI for 125 with a superb haul of seven wickets for 35 runs, City XI made 272 for four at close with S.S. Kumar hammering 145.

The scores: Combined City XI 330 (Manish Alse 166, Nishanth Shekawath 41) vs Tumkur Zone 19 for one.

Vice-President's XI 214 (Gautham 70, Sumith four for 70) vs Mangalore Zone 23 for no loss.

Raichur Zone 156 (Rajkumar 58, S.D.Kalyan four for 10) vs Mysore Zone 137 for six (Aditya B. Sagar 59 n.o.).

Bangalore Zone 205 (Zohar 50, Ananth Pai 55, Ashok four for 34) vs Dharwad Zone 129 for two (Nitin Bille 65 n.o.).

Shimoga Zone 284 for nine (D. Raghavendra 85, Ajith Shenoy 90) vs President's XI 26 for one.

Secretary's XI 123 (A.V. Raghavendra Rao seven for 35) vs Bangalore City XI 272 for four (S.S. Kumar 145, Manish Pandey 50).
