Ludhiana: The BJP and Shiromani Akali Dal on Saturday petitioned the Police here to register an FIR against Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh and some others for their alleged involvement in a real estate "scam".

He also dared the Chief Minister to join in a debate on the alleged scam in Ludhiana City Centre with Badal and party MP Navjot Singh Siddhu.
"We challenge the Punjab Chief Minister to participate in a debate on the real estate scam. From our side Sukhbir Singh Badal and Navjot Singh Siddhu will participate in it," Jaitley told reporters here.
He said the debate could be telecast on any national TV channel of Amarinder Singh's choice.

Terming the city centre project as a "deal structured for corruption", Jaitely alleged that at the behest of the Chief Minister the Government "deliberately changed the terms of agreement so as to allot this project to a private company". PTI
