NIZAMABAD: The Bodhan police has busted woman trafficking gang based at Chandrapur in Maharashtra and rescued four girls belonging to Nizamabad and Anantapur districts. Giving details at a press conference here on Saturday, Superintendent of Police Mahesh Chandra Laddha said five persons - Dehavath Peeru Bhai, Dewasoth Vasanth, Dewasoth Krishna, Dudavath Gangadhar and Lavanya of Varni and Bodhan mandals were also arrested in connection with the trafficking case. The accused persons were found guilty of transporting minor girls to a brothel house at Chandrapur in Maharashtra by luring their poor parents in the name of providing employment opportunities. Taking actions on the basis of a complaint by a minor girl, the police raided the brothel house at Chandrapur with the help of the Maharashtra police on September 14. To their surprise, they found 55 girls along with other women at the brothel house at the time of the raid. Of them, four victims were rescued and handed over to the Maharashtra police for further action. Circle Inspector of Bodhan G. Ravikumar and Sub-Inspectors of Bodhan and Varni along with police constables, who acted promptly in busting the racket, would be suitably rewarded.
