Uninterrupted power supply to farm sector

NIZAMABAD: Continuous power supply for seven hours to the farm sector will be given with an immediate effect in the district. In this regard, farmers have been classified into three groups - A, B and C.

The decision to this effect was taken at an official meeting attended among others by Minister for Rural Development D. Srinivas, Collector I.S. Sri Naresh, Chief Engineer Yadagiri Swamy and Superintending Engineer (Electricity) Subba Rao, on Saturday evening.

The farmers in the category-A would get continuous supply without any interruption from 4 to 11 a.m., in category-B from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and in category-C from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m.

However, each category of farmers would get power supply during the nights - for one week in a month.

Farmers have to cooperatewith the electricity department. This supply system would continue till October-end.
