Works of city cartoonists displayed in Frankfurt

ROCK SOLID: One of the cartoons on display in Frankfurt Book Fair
HYDERABAD:
Twenty works of three cartoonists from Hyderabad --Shyam Mohan, Shanku and Sanketh Gurudatta -- are being displayed at the cartoon show being organised at the Frankfurt Book Fair-2006, from September 15. The `India at a glance' show at the Golden Hall will continue till October 18. The show can be viewed on website www.indianink.org., according to Mr. Shyam Mohan.
He said that the cartoonists got invitation to participate in the show six months ago. Such shows helped in strengthening friendly relations between the two countries, he added. The cartoonist described his participation in the Frankfurt show as a `great honour' for his fellow artistes across the country. He said the participants from Hyderabad would be given honorarium.
Works of Indian stalwarts like Abu Abraham, O.V.Vijayan, Shankar Pillai, R.K.Laxman, Rajender Puri, Mario, Vijay Narayan Seth, Unni, along with those of cartoonists from Bangalore, Delhi, Chennai, Pune, Goa are also being displayed.
