Heart check-up

The Seven Hills Hospitals in the city launched a healthy heart check-up week on Monday for the patients with cardiac diseases. The programme would continue till September 23.

According to hospital GM (Operations) R. Suryanarayana Rao, the institution, to help the cardiac patients to undergo tests and check up and thus provide advanced medical care, has introduced an economical package costing Rs. 599 per head. Under this, the patients besides getting consultation in cardiology, would also undergo tests in haemoglobin percentage, fasting blood sugar level, lipid profile, ECG, 2D echo screening, he said.

Lunch hour demo

The All India State Government Employees Federation (AISGEF) has requested all employees under its fold to participate in the National Protest Day on September 20 by organising a rally and observing a `lunch hour demonstration' by wearing black badges before the collectorate.

In a joint press release with the APNGO's Association the district joint action committee chairman, K. Raja Rao and its convenor, M.V.V.S.Vara Prasada Rao, observed that AISGEF represented over 85 lakh employees across the country and called for the nationwide protest to highlight the anti-attitude of both the State and the Central Government.
