BSNL adalat in October

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The next circle adalat of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) will be held in October. The date and time of the adalat will be communicated to the eligible petitioners by post. The circle adalat will consider those cases that were not settled at the SSA adalat. Petitions with details may be forwarded to J. Gomathy Ammal, Assistant General Manager (PG), Public Grievance Cell, Office of the Chief General Manager, Telecom (BSNL), Thiruvananthapuram-695 033, before September 30. The envelope containing the petition should be super-scribed `Circle Telecom Adalat XXI.' Complaints received after cut off date will be considered only in the next adalat. — Staff Reporter

Woman critical

Thiruvananthapuram: A 28-year-old woman, who gave birth to a child in a KSRTC bus on Monday morning, has been admitted to SAT hospital in a serious condition. Soon after the woman was delivered of the child, they were rushed to the hospital. However, the child died on the way to the hospital. The woman was identified as Bindu, wife of Biju, residing at Karunagapally. Bindu was in the eighth month of gestation and was on her way to SAT hospital along with her husband. Following the sudden onset of labour, she gave birth to the child when the bus reached Sreekaryam. She has been admitted to the intensive care unit following severe post-delivery haemorrhage. Minister for Health P.K. Sreemathy visited SAT hospital and consoled the family. — Staff Reporter
